Supplement entitled The Canadian Initiative on Frailty and Aging, published by the journal Aging Clinical and Experimental Research, June 2003, contains an extensive discussion paper prepared by Hogan et al. on behalf of the Steering Committee of the Canadian Initiative on Frailty and Aging. Entitled Models, definitions, and criteria of frailty, the discussion paper provides the foundation for the systematic literature review. The guest editors of the special issue are D.B. Hogan, C. MacKnight, and H. Bergman.
